So we removed my parents pontoon boat today and I had immediately noticed that the rear 'cap' off of his transducer had popped off sometime between June and today. Fishfinder still works luckily, and am going to seal it up with silicone. Just that I will not see it fro 2 weeks and it will also allow the material inside the transducer to fully dry before I seal it back up again. I know that there is supposed to be a plastic 'cap', but since it is missing I will just seal it with the afforementioned silicone. I was going to use epoxy, but I was scared of any possible 'bubbles' in the epoxy. Just a friendly reminder to check your transducers for wear as we missed this one!
