It was 21° in the Allagash this weekend.  First beer had a little slush . Hoping to be at camp for a long weekend January 1st

we've been locked up solid here in the valley for 2 weeks. dont know what the 6in. of wet snow did to it last night. big lakes are still mostly open but the ponds been frozen for awhile now.

I drove by a small duck pond in gorham that was skimmed over today, can’t wait till I can start punching some holes again.

I'll be testing the local ice next weekend. I expect to find safe conditions to fish.

45 minutes north of Bangor some small ponds are locked up with 1"

Headed to my camp in Millinocket on the 9th, and will post what I find for ice.  Guessing I will be able to do some cusk fishing, and possibly salmon if they don't get much snow.

Hope it works out for you darby. From what I can see of the lake from cameras at camp on South Twin, no ice yet.

Went by a little pond in Lamoine today. Nearly all locked up. Full of dink perch and little  slime darts! I won't be spot burning THAT hotspot!
