Scents

Any of you ever try soaking your dead pike bait in any kind of solutions.I have heard of herring oil before but have had little to no luck with that.

I have heard of people using garlic on lures for basss fishing but not sure how that would work for pike ???

SCENT DOES WORK, know where you are fishing and for what,scent does help

 ive never soaked my bait but what i do is chum.i work part time in a bait shop so i get all the dead shinners i want.i throw them in a blender on chop,add a can of cheep cat food &mix .i pore it rite down the hole.WARNING DO NOT USE THE WIFES GOOD BLENDER,BOY WAS SHE PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!not to mention the one i had to replace it with cost me $60.
