THose particular trout went in the oven with salt, pepper a small onion chopped, butter and heavy cream... baked at 350 for 30 min or so

they were tasty

yes, splake are very good tasting, almost like salmon i find pink meat and lots of  it on one fish, i like the taste better than lake trout its too oily

Do the leaves of trees stay greener, in the autumn, does the colour of the sun, turn crimson white? Does a shadow come between us, in the winter?

I fish for splake quite a bit...it's odd how one fish will be nice and pink and salmon like, and the next will be almost snow white meat. I usually smoke the white ones, and panfry or bake the pink ones

what other types of fish are in caroga lake i live in new city ny and i have a friend who lives up there right on the lake i have wanted to go ice fishing there for so long but never got the chance

hey coldbum have you ever noticed that the spake are only hot during first ice and then they just turn off for the year? thats what i've experiened on caroga anyway ;D

yep fish splake a lot and they get very very tight lipped after first ice it seems.
