The tool bar above the smileys 3 rd icon over hit the icon and insert your link.

Right click on what you are trying to copy. Cut and paste.

The cut and the copy things are faded out so I take it I can't do that right?

while on the page you wish to link to ...click on  the text in the adress bar so it is highlighted (blue) then with your cursor on the blue , right click and select copy.

now in the reply that you wish to link from click on the little earth in the second row of icons and a pair of [url] brackets will appear...put your cursor between them and right click...select paste and the link will appear between the brackets.  when you post the link will be there and clickable

Do you mean the address bar where it says jump to? I right click on it and nothing happens. it turns gray and that's it

im assuming your using windows .  the address bar displays the url of the page you are viewing...for example the url for this thread is ...

http://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php?topic=50990.0   

and if i insert that url between the hyperlink brackets it will make it a clickable link like this...
