Grease your clam plate bearing!

Just did mine with marine grease!

Ah yuht, M18 Fuel on a plate with a 6in Lazer. She's nice n slippery bub. Already fah wintah!

'Marine grease' might be little stiff for that application. A good synthetic NLGI 1 or a OO would be even better.

No zerk in my Gen II.   The bearing is sealed.  I suppose you can pry the seal up and squirt some grease in there-

I have the Gen 2 plate. The plate that you need to take the drill chuck off for. There was a zerk on the bearing on the underside of the plate.

No it wasn't. Gen 1 was the first plates, Gen 2 was the plates with rubber on the aluminum handle tubes. I think there might be one more generation between gen 2 and the plate where you don't take the chuck off.

Cool. Now I know  I have a Gen III. AND I need not worry about lubricating it- ;D
