What lure do you prefer to use when ice fishing. Also what technique do you use and what colors.

Lindy Darter (Chubby Darter is even better), Perch color and I fish it most of the time so it will swim in big circles, then settle back to the middle with a rest then start again. That is the most common way I fish it, but not the only.

I looked at those today at fleet farm, but they did seen to have the bright colors I was looking for. I don't know, what colors do you guys use.

It all depends on the body of water you are fishing on what colors work. But I usualy like the bright colers in cloudy water and more natural colors in clear water.

The smallest red rapala is a go to for me.

The Salmo Chubby, Lindy Darter, and jigging rap are all different actions. They are not interchangeable and all have times when one works best. Out of the three, I think the Chubby is the most useful more of the time.

Tip, don't over jig.

Only answer you'll really need. One day one of them will be the greatest lure ever made, tomorrow you may wonder why you wasted your money on it. Fish get picky, need a size, shape and color asst to put down there until they show you what they want..............at that moment

I use all 3. All depends on what I'm looking for and where I am. I can say that I use a Rap more often for walleyes.

The Rap for me.  Firetiger is my go to color.

Most of my perch lakes are gin-clear.

I bang the bottom with it and then barely move it. Maybe lift a 1/2 inch or so.

Firetiger jigging rap is one of my all time favorite lures. I have yet to see as good results with the lindy darter.
