Can a youth submit an entry under the adult category?
Yes, as long as it is not one of the 3 Youth Species!  ;)

Hey I tried to enter the tournament when I first signed up.  I am not sure if I was successful or not.  I am computer challenged however I think this is a cool sight.  I was wondering if there was any way you can check to see if I was successful.  If not, is there any way to join.  Thanks Mochag

Any chance you can put the state/prov next to the name on the leader boards?

Yeah, I saw that.. but it just says total amount of points per state. I'd like to know which state is winning which category without having to look up usernames.

Suggestion for next year: tweaking of the rule requiring that photos have to be taken outside of a shanty or change it so that it can be taken inside a shanty but the lake must be visible in the background through the door or window.

I've entered the tournament 3 years now and enjoyed participating but felt that not participating this year was necessary as the rule requiring that the photo be taken outside of the shelter/shanty most certainly means that any fish I am required to or choose to release would certainly be dead or die shortly thereafter due to the "extreme" cold we experience (it's not that bad really) and I am sure it's happened to fish I have entered in the past.

The weather being experienced in the US over the last few days is normal weather up here and -40 days are somewhat common with -20 very very very frequent from December to early March.  In fact this year 4 of the 6 trips I have made this year were in -40 or colder and each time I've had fish that definitely would be challenging the boards in both walleye and pike @ 29" for walleye and 40" for pike so far being the biggest I've caught this season.  The photos taken of them were all done in the pop up for obvious reasons.

Just a suggestion that I hope gets some air time and discussion.  Tight lines.

I think people should post their home state on their post with their entries, not everybody has their home state in their profile.

There is no minimum. If your entry does not challenge the leader board, post it in the "short" entries and this will make you eligible for the weekly drawings. Once your in for the drawings, your in for the duration of the tourney, no need to post every week.

I think the minimums you saw is to qualify for the "Trophy" board.

why would the minimum length for walleye be 25 inches to post outside the short area?   the 3rd place fish is like 21.5 or something like that.  thought if it challenged a 1st through 3rd place it should go in the respected category.

No offence, and not trying to stir the pot but how do we know when the fish was caught and picture was taken if people are attaching digital copies of the tournament card after the fact.

Yes.

Still have to abide by all the other rules, and the card wasn't posted until after dark the eve before the tourney began, so no one was able to pull it up until then. I prefer the paper card, don't see any reason to not allow the digital copy.

I didn't mean attaching the picture afterwards. I pulled up a tournament card on my ipad and put my ipad in the picture with the tournament card on the ipad. I haven't been able to get to a printer lately because I need a new laptop...

Tiny where do you put the trophy entries if they don't challenge 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the short category?

;D   I agree.   I tried to 'friendly suggest" this to one culprit,  but he says he has enough background.   I guess Tim will decide on 2 of his entries,   but at least he has a sence of humor,   check out  this post from last night,    I responded below his pictures.   what a goof    ;D

Trophy entries should go in the appropriate topic, not the short category.
