hey everyone...the season is comming! this will be my 2nd serious year of ice fishing and have learned an awful lot and not done to bad (lots of big bass and some good pike 36" ) but would really like to hook up with some of you more experianced michigan ice fishers to learn some more tricks of the hardwater. Any and every species especialy walleye and perch, i cant seem to be able to find or catch them. If your interested in helping an amatur ice fisher out just leave me a message. Ill bring the beer!! or coffee depending on preferance =/

Whereabouts are you located??? I fish Brest Bay for eyes when it freezes and if we don't get any ice around here I usually make a few trips up to Cadillac to fish in Jan/Feb. I'm no expert but manage to catch enough to keep me interested.

The rock bass crew will be planning an ice get together. Just keep an eye out for our posts. You're more than welcome to join us. We are always willing to help put a fellow angler on some fish. Especially one that brings beer.

On this forum, you could get a differant buddy every weekend if you liked. Myself and the other Mich boneheads fish as much as we can, and we all met here in the past year or so!
You can find me on anchor bay most of the winter, but travel to your neck and a little farther South to give the other boneheads a hard time, I'll see you then!

p.s. i went once and didnt have much luck at heron but like i said in my first post this will only be my second serious ice fishing season. (obiously the first one got me hooked)

i live in oakland county..right in the heart of the lakes area (commerce,whitelake,waterford) and ill be out almost every afternoon so feel free to give me a shout..chaser fishes the same area lakes all the time too...ill be posting ice reports on here as well. im sure we'll all get out.

Oakland county lakes area is the best fishing in SE Michigan.
I can't wait for ice either. I have all these toys that I need to use.

Count me in on a get together as well! I love ice fishing but none of my friends will go with me. I have been dragging my Dad out with me the last few years but he has been hinting he does not really want to go out this year (Can't deal with the cold like he used to

). So I am game to join in on an outing or two this year!

Guys My parents have a small cottage on lake mitchell in cadillac. Id like to plan a trip up there this season. It will probally mostly depend on ice conditions when its planned. we could possibly do a whole weekend thing , whod be interested in going ?

Hey Folks! If anyone in the Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Wisconsin area is looking for someone to go Ice fishing with this year, I'm game...4-man shanty, with only 2 people in it now.
