Got on the ice little late... Visited with a few new fishing buddies... Not much goin got there and it was pretty windy. So, I moved about a mile down the lake, out of the wind and a spot I never fished. Wasn't fast fishing, but consistant. Marked a few more whitefish. Only one took a jig; the last one and for the limit!!!. Had maybe a dozen flags. Mostly hit and spit whitefish, I 'magine! These guys are going in the smoker and the togue are getting dried for doggie chews!!!

Yesterday out jigging for 3 hrs ! the wind picked up from the south so i left early. But yesterday i noticed for my first time this winter the fish were up off bottom a ways and biting good. the other days this winter the fish were right on bottom . and a very slow easy bite. I cant remember a winter as this one.
