Winnisquam cusk
« on: Nov 09, 2022, 09:12 AM »
Not looking for anyone's secret spots but can someone point me in the right direction of where to set up for cusk? Coming up for the derby and staying on webster so planning on making the drive over to set traps overnight. Never caught one and want to check them off the bucket list. Thanks!
The BIG one is just one flag away!

Species caught : largemouth, smallmouth,  bluegill, perch, White perch, crappie, trout, catfish, bowfin, pickerel, pike

There are a couple access spots available to you. Belmont Town Beach and Ahern Park. You can park at either of these and easily walk out to waters that hold cusk. Most of it depends on where the cusk are at in their spawning cycle. I like to focus on rocky areas around 30 ish ft. The bigger the bait the better for larger fish. The cusk like to spawn in shallow on Sandy humps.
Good luck!
