Nice Ice Laker!!

It a really nice fish but it wasn't caught last week.  I watched that video at the beginning of the ice season.  Its my guess it was caught last year.

Damn nice laker . I hooked one pretty big this past week i was shocked how fast they can swim.The laker went from 90 ft to 35 ft under 4 sec. man he had some power. Been awhile since i hooked one that big under ice. Past couple years the've only  been 10 to 17lbs. he felt like some kings i catch in the summer.

I wouldn't want to treat a laker that size so roughly. I've been told in our area they grow about one inch a year. Recently I started carrying a cloth tape measure (took it from my wife's drawer - she never uses it anyway!), to better tape length and girth if I'm ever lucky enough to land something worth calling a trophy and want a replica made.

Outstanding catch and I hope to one day land something to be proud of as well.
