Here in Central PA it is about 38 degrees right now and we just had a big burst of snow showers come through the area. Sure is great to see the cold weather this soon, even though I won't like the gas bill this month. With this cold weather early the lakes won't take as long as they usually do to freeze over. The past couple weeks we have had below normal temps and the lake temps have been falling like a rock. Archery season starts Saturday and this will be the coldest first day I can remember in a long time. Bring on the ice ;D

Icenutter, ya got more heading your way ! There are even freeze warnings out for tonight. How can it get better than that unless we can walk to our fishing spot on the lake? That burst of snow went through here at 11:30 this morning, and there have been several more since. I will have to say it might be a little un-comfy up on Elk Creek tonight fishing for steelhead.
