When fishing last Wednesday, I could see something on the ice attracting crows and eagles. I was busy setting up but then noticed what I thought was a dog running across the cove. He turned and came in our direction and when close enough it was apparent it was a coyote running full tilt. He must have run at least a half mile in the open before going to shore.
The crow and eagle feast was a deer carcass.
