No8 tackle the snitch ?
« on: Nov 08, 2015, 04:32 AM »
Would this rod be any good for trout like .5-4lb bows/brookies and maybe the occasional walleye trip(smaller eyes)I like the idea of the soft tip for detecting bites and a solid backbone planned on the 29" version

it'll have trouble handling the larger trout and eyes...it can't handle much more than a 1/8oz bait max - even then you're giving up some control. A 30" frabill quick tip would be a better off the shelf choice - it has a bit more back bone and control of slightly heavier baits.
