I would like to hear all your tips and tricks for ice fighing (That is if your willing to share)

One that I thought up was for portible shanty anchors. It was taking me too long to get the anchors skrewed into the ice, so I used a dremel on the side of a 12" piece of 2x4 and cut a slot just deep enough for the top of the anchor to fit in. So now i don't have to put hardly any pressure on to it and just flick the board as if you were starting an old prop plane!
