I don't live there, but I've been there a lot during the last few months fishing.
My friend Fishryc lives really close to Olcott.

that good 'ol town just isnt the same as it used to be!
i miss the seafood bar... irma's olcottbowl is shut down.
cal's bar on the corner has changed owners and style.
the open-air bar has been closed for years!
all kinda sad!  :-\
but the fishing is still as good as it has always been. so i guess that is a bonus!
sure do miss the old days there though!
at least bye's popcorn stand still operates...lol

Erma's... we used to eat breakfast and lunch there when I was in college... We were doing research on the artificial reef just west of town, and we docked at Hedley's.  My roommate and I used to go for Sunday drives just to hit Erma's for a cup of coffee and pie.
I'm a-going to stay where ya sleep all day,
Where they hung the jerk who invented work
In the big rock candy mountains.
