Pelican Point pond
« on: Feb 02, 2024, 11:36 AM »
Anyone know if the pond at the Pelican Point FAS near Cascade ever gets fishable ice? I've tried to hit it a couple times over the years to see what's in it, but its been open water every time.  I never think to try it in the summer. MT

Can't say i've paid enough attention to notice if people get on the ice there when/if it does freeze.   FWP stocks the ponds though, shows a variety of species in the different ponds on the fwp site.

Ice leaves as fast as it comes. Pretty shallow overall, deepest is 12~ Feet. Piles of tiny perch, some bass, occasional crappie and stocked trout.

I drove past on Monday, it had water on top. I fished it a few times last year, and it had around 4-6” on it.
