Took my grandaughter (3 yrs old) ice fishing for the 2nd time Sunday. She still hasn't caught any fish yet, but we had fun and she's learning as we go along and still wants to keep trying. Looks like I have a new fishing buddy...(http://img161.exs.cx/img161/5778/kyra013005.jpg)

None of my kids have managed to catch fish through the ice yet either. They are a bit less keen on ice fishing than open water, but they do enjoy getting out every now and again when the weather is nice enough. Hat's off to you for taking her out.

Keep taking her out... the look on her face when she pulls in her first fish will be priceless and worth all the wait.

My son just started to go out with me last year....caught nothing....then this year our second trip out we hit a mess of crappie. He caught 5 beauties in less than 20 minutes, now he expects that every time we go out! lol
