Got on the ice at Tabor Point at 9:00, disappointed that the pinheads were really pinheads, very small. Anyway, I couldn't get out to my favorite spot for fear the ice wasn't that good... you can see the new black ice just beyond where I set up. So I was only in about 7 feet of water. Click on the pix to enlarge them.
Two other guys came out but one guy only got one perch and the other got a bunch of little ones on his bibbet. I got him to take my picture.
The ice where I set up was a good solid 8 inches, but that guy said it was only 3 inches around the corner so I was glad I didn't bother walking too far.
The first bite came in a few seconds and they were one after another until I quit at noon time, some too small to bother with, but still plenty of good-sized ones for supper. Next time...
