I personally haven't checked any body of water outside of Eligo (one inche near shore at launch) which was not safe 10 days ago. Since then its been hit
with heavy snow, lots of rain and barely freezing temps. I did hear from a bait shop Averill's have frozen.
I am certain other ponds/lakes will be safe next week after the cold moving in. Lakes at elevation will freeze first.

Memphremagog, Salem, Norton, Averill, and Island Pond all have 6-9 inches or more of ice.  Crystal and Willoughby Lake still have open water. Echo locked up last week so that may be good. Seymour just locked up this week but we got a bunch of snow after.

Magog north of town is fishable? I knew south bay was frozen but was curious about north of town.

There is between 9-12 inches around the twins. There are some hard shacks out there now.

Island Pond has a good 10-12 with a 1/2 slush layer about 3-4 inches down. I fished it this past weekend.
Slow, lots of pickerel, a short walleye, rock bass and a good dozen hit an runs. Thinking they were
smaller trout but generally land one sooner or later.
