Title: Lets get this going Saskatchewan
Post by: Spicoli on Oct 04, 2004, 05:33 PM
Well the ice season really isn't that far away at all anymore, i know i am starting to get the itch already, i would like to see more people from saskatchewan using this forum. It will just benefit everyone if we do. So just to get things rolling here, what is the lake you fish the most?

I'm not from Sas. Spicoli, but I'm on my way up there Saturday for a week of goose hunting!!  Not quite the same as the hardwater but I've had a blast every time that I've been up.

I guessed right! :D  I fish Last Mtn and the fishing lakes but will probably get in at least 1 trip to Dief this winter.  It's going to be awhile, though, maybe mid-Dec?  I like to have 3" under me before I walk out onto the middle, and even then I take a heavy steel bar and test as I go.

I am a former "ratlander", having grown up in Humboldt.  Went to school there and at St. Pete's.  Went to the U.of S. as well.  Living in Alberta now for 25 years.  Love the Sask. fishing, as we often head back, to Makwa, Pierce, Ministikwan, Peck, Fishing, Nemeiben, Tobin, and any other that may come in the way!!!

Hey friendly, if you know anybody who works for Canada Post get them to bring home a pair of spikes, there's 2 sizes now, but the big ones fit over snow boots ,easy velcro straps - top notch piece of kit!  Sorry I didn't make it to the north end of the lake this summer. ::)
