Looking for some cork grips
« on: Nov 13, 2016, 10:47 PM »
Would anyone know a good place to find cork grips other than Mudhole, Janns or Getbit outdoors? Having a hard time finding a nice 7-10 inch cork grip for a rod Id like to build.. I'm now considering using cork rings but don't know much about the process. Any info or insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys

You'll need to 'google'  cork grips for ice rods. I did and the suppliers you mentioned came up, along with several others. You should be able to find videos and other instructions for building your own using rings! I have, and if I can do it, I'm sure you can. Plenty of info out there, you just need to look! Good luck!!!

Cork rings are relatively easy to use.   You just need to make a clamp from a clamp from wood and a couple pieces of all thread.   You can probably find a grip you want or the rings from any rod building supplier.

I've used rear or fore grips instead of ice fishing handles.
