im going up to loon mt week after xmas 26th-30th. what are the chances there will be safe ice by then??

Mirror Lake might be safe. Most of the ponds above the notch should be safe by Christmas. Local ponds have little less than an inch of ice right now and some freezing for the next three nights. If it doesn't rain again we should be OK for little people by next weekend.

Good luck, Unless it cools off substantially in the near future the only place that may have ice would be the North Country.

yea i fished mirror before! nice spot! that looks like the closest pond!
smaller ponds or north country will be the way to go! bigger lakers wont be good. most of them dont open till jan 1st anyways!
