Looking to get out
« on: Jan 01, 2014, 12:04 PM »
I live in central NJ and am looking to get up north to do some jigging this weekend.  Can anyone give me any good suggestions where there is some safe ice and nice crappies.  Was thinking about hitting the back side of cranberry lake but not sure what the ice is like over there, any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have been fishing Jefferson lake it has had ice for and few weeks. I would stay on the smaller or less deep ponds / lakes most if not all the lakes in the north west area have ice but not all of them are what I call safe( a good 4+ inches)keep checking the posts. I am sure the guys in the area will be out after the storm be carful
