No ice yet

As of 12:40AM theres still no signs of ice to report.  :(

But the fall run of huge stripers is starting to heat up with reports of a 57lber and 48"+ fish being taken from the Raritan Bay surf so far this week

only 60 more days till the winter  ;D Hopefully soon then that to be on the ice

i hope it feezes soon and hard this year,  like few years ago when we had good first ice on Dec 18th  :-)

My guess is we'll see the usual border-line-safe-ice in the coves for Christmas but you never know - I've been on it as early as Dec.8th one year. I'll keep the thermostat low to help out.  ;D

Dave, when will you be in NJ next? There's always room for you in the boat and on the ice!

Hey Jim,  thanks  for the offer!, I really appreciate it.   I 've seen that nice Muskie you pulled out of LH on KneeDeepClub.org and it make me real jealous.  You got them dialed in,,,ha,,ha,,I had to go to a local pond and do damage to some LM bass  ;D to feel better.  I just bought a ticket and i'll be flying in on the 25 of December for 3 weeks.  I hope to see u then.  In the meantime i'll be keeping an eye on the weather  and hope for early ice.  PLEASE FREEEEEZZZEEE!!                 Dave
