East Central Ice Dec 14, 2021
« on: Dec 14, 2021, 03:52 PM »
Went for a drive today to a small trout lake. In the bay about 12" and out of the bay more in the open about 10.5" Both spots about 30 yards from shore in 18' FOW. With a week of -25 to-30 temps in the forecast we will be moving the shack on in a week or less.   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

My son has been home for a few days and although its been really cold we decided to go out today for an hour or so to try out the new shack. Everything was good and managed to catch a few stockers and a couple of perch. We have about 20" of ice now and it felt good to get out fishing again. I setup on a weed edge/drop in about 11 ft, of water, there was quite a bit of fish action with some nice trout spotted on the camera. I fly fished this spot from about the middle of April right into November this past year and had some great days in this area so confident we should have a great winter as well.
