Friend went last week and caught couple gills and a 16 " bass he gut hooked so kept it .Other than that sounds like it has been slow for gills.

10pnt  I was there Monday afternoon and got 20 nice ones. Fishing off HQ in the grass. Only 2-2.5 ft of water but they are in there. You have to jig real aggresively to get them to come in. Having a Marcum made all the difference even in that shallow stuff. 3 mm Wolfram with a wax worm.

I was out by HQ bulrushes Wed. Brought home 23 gills. 7" to 81/4". Fished sun up till 2 pm. Pretty tough bite. Lots of moving.
Born to fish. What else is there?
