How soon will we have open water on some of the bigger lakes ,my boat and gear is ready

Should be gone by early March. Maybe even sooner.

I hope so. If i can't walk on it i want no sight of it. I was surprised yesterday when we were wading how thick the ice was next to open water. It was cool to see a gage of how thick had to be and still support you.
