Last Ice For Me

Headed out about 5am thought I might have a couple ponds to check before I settled on the best ice, 3rd pond was the charm easy walk on not even slush and I couldn't believe I could walk on top of the crusted first layer. Had 16" of white ice with a couple inches of loose slushy snow on top, probably lost 4" or 5" inches by the end odf the day quite soft. Started out slow...





Had the jigging thing going today Sunfish and perch kept me busy, tipping a little Kastmaster with red grub was the ticket...





Mid morning nap can you feel that sun.....



Then it warmed up and so did the bite, no biggens though.....









Multi species day, can't ever remember ice fishing in a t - shirt it was awesome out there !

Nahhhh I'm pulling the plug, give me a month to do some honey do stuff around the house and get the boat and soft water gear ready for some Salmon and trout trolling in April. It's been a fantastic year, will post year review soon have fun guys and be safe out there  :tipup:

Another great post and pics Jeff, thanks for an entertaining year. Derek cash it in for the year or did ya send him to the store for some bacon!! Short sleeves ya gotta love that. Where did ya find the Julie's gutta bite little flags, I have two and Jigger asked me where I got mine he was looking for some. I got mine a Spaggs thats how old they are. Have a great soft water season and keep posting.

Great post, Jeff.  Have really enjoyed your posts.  Can't believe we never got out together, maybe next year.  I agree, lots to do around the house before our camping season starts.  Tight lines.

Gutter Bites I got a couple years ago, last one on the shelf, I get asked about em everytime I break em out, Derek is back to the grind cooking for the rich and famous at the Country Club, he'll be sure to find the open water with me in a few weeks, peace out  :tipup:
