Late Ice Perch Up North
« on: Mar 26, 2008, 02:38 PM »
Fished Crooked Lake yesterday: 3-8pm. and endured rain and wind for 13 perch 8-10" in 6fow.  I had six holes punched and just hopped around as they didn't seem to hold still in any numbers.  We still have 20+" of ice and no real end in site.  Anyone been fishing Burt, Mullett or Charlevoix with any success?

I was fishing thumb lake yesterday and the day before for perch and on Monday it was sunny and perfect for ice fishing and i did just fine. But the next day like you said was windy and rainy and i fished the same holes and only caught 3 perch ??? ??? I think had something to do with the weather.

Have you done any good on splake at Thumb this year? I keep meaning to get over but somehow never do. I've never fished perch there but I imagine there have to be some nice ones: were you on the east or west end?
