Did the same thing Saturday, on Portage, 10 to 20 fow. I want to go back this week sometime. :tipup:

Were they there all the time or did they come a go in schools? Took my 4 year old out last week and managed a few nice ones in 7 fow but it was few and far between. We had tip ups set up on either side of us rigged with shiners and when one would go off we would fish that hole till they moved on.

the perch fishing picked up like crazy. went out yesterday eve. and between 3 of us we got 85 keepers. We fished  north of higgins though.  :tipup: hard to get on the ice, edges are all water, once u get out there theres still better than a foot of ice.

They would come and go. I fished 2 holes and caught as many or more than my buddies who moved around.
