Where to fish?

Hello all. I haven't posted here before, just created an account not too long ago. My daughter was taken for the weekend and I'm wanting to take advantage of some fishing. Where is there still ice thick enough to go out? I am in Lansing currently; looking to go elsewhere or wherever is safe. Open to suggestions. I got a new pole for Vday (24 in ultra lite) and I haven't had a chance to use this little guy. Please tell me its not too late!

Awesome!  Hard to say but theres lots of ice out there!  Get a spud and have a good time.

I haven't been out on any of the lakes around here recently, but I'm guessing that if the shore ice is good enough for you to get on, then the ice farther out is still good. But, be careful! Check the ice with a spud as you go. Thickness and ice quality can change fast. Maybe you already know this, but thought I'd mention it. Be interested to hear how you did.
