Old but new gear
« on: Oct 16, 2020, 10:19 AM »
Well gang I guess it's that time again to start getting the ice gear out... A couple of weeks back I came on an ad for a jiffy 8'' auger for a 100 bucks... So I go check it out even though it's almost 80 degrees which is unusual here in the Adirondacks... Well I can't believe my eyes this thing is almost new a couple of nicks but the paint is still on the muffler... So I ask the guy if he has gas mix to fire it with and he says no it was his dads and hadn't been used in yrs...covered and garaged and it sure does look it... So no gas no start I'll give you 80 bucks... He says okay I get it home gas it up and third pull it fired runs idles and revs perfect... I believe it's a model 31 as there are a couple of things different from my old model 30... All considered I'm very pleased with my purchase...

Nice...that's what garage sales shopping is all about.  Just sifting through jewels in the rough.
