Sometimes things just work out

 I made plans on Christmas day to have 2 of my grandsons sleep over tonight and we would fish tomorrow. The weatherman changed the plans yesterday afternoon and we decided to fish today. I picked Danny (7) up at 7 this morning in Berwick ME and then got Hunter (8) in Dover and  headed to my house for breakfast. We hit Greenwood lake in Kingston and our great day began. The first flag went off before the second trap was set and it was game on. The boys had a little rust starting out but soon the fish were landed before Grampy got to the hole. It turned into  the best day of fishing I ever had. Just got a call from my daughter who drove the boys home and she said all they talked about during the drive was there day fishing. I think I may have set the hook with these two.

That is awesome...  coolest part about the story was that it didn't matter what you caught, just that you did.

Love watching that age chase flags... congrats on your catch (your grandsons).

Great story that is the same body of water that I had my first ever experience ice fishing on.

  Thanks for the kind replies gentlemen. It was a warm day with a gentle breeze lots of flags and lots of smiles, a perfect day for the kids. I was impressed how they took turns with the fish and helped each other out.
