Brassua Lake fishing info ??
« on: Mar 19, 2018, 08:44 PM »
Has anyone fished Brassua Lake?  I have noticed nice cabin rentals there. It says trout and salmon.  Is it a lake to fish early in the season?  What about this time of year?

Any luck fishing there? Or should we just skip it and go to Moosehead?

We stayed in the cabins and had a good time back in early February. We had some good intel on the bite and fished high in the water column in deep water...but we were skunked. We only fished a partial day after traveling up and finding the bait cooler had spilled. The wind was a brutal and there was quite a bit of snow on the lake. The next day we went to Moosehead, and were happy we did. We did see the warden who lives there and he confirmed the intel we received as he had been checking them.

Nice sled ride over to Moosehead and a lot of deer to see on the way!
