icing sabattus pike

I'm from NH and fish primarily for pike. Every winter I try to do a road trip somewhere different, next winter it's Sabattus. Anyone have a tip on an area to target? motels and local bait? It's about a four hour one way trip (not bad), but I would like to have some direction when I get there. Any info much appreciated.

Best bait will be Stone's pet/bait shop in lewiston.  The pike are everywhere in that lake, but the north end get the most pressure.
