jigging rod for eyes
« on: Feb 09, 2011, 12:23 PM »
just broke my 28 ml northland trick stick last night. good rod but looking for something better. I use a northland 30" MH for my bigger raps #7 and 9. but i need something a little lighter for smaller raps and pimples. ideal would be a 30 inch M to ML. any suggestions?

For smaller raps and pimples I use a 30" Thorne Bros perch sweet heart.  Might have perch in the name, but the rod has everything it takes to be a lighter walleye rod.  Solid backbone and the ultimate sensitivity and is just right for working smaller walleye baits.

I would recommend a TB walleye sweetheart or jason mitchell 28" walleye or 26" perch. All are very nice rods with good feel capable of handling smaller and fairly large baits and large eyes if need be...  ;D

If you want to go a little cheaper, St. Croix Premiere rods are also great quality for the price.  I'll go with the medium power.
