Hello guys. Semi newbie here. My buddies and I are planning on heading up there next Sunday. None of us gave ever fished Whitney but what I'm hearing is to stay over the top of the channel. Is this channel area thinner ice than the rest of the reservoir? Also, what's the minimum/limits for walleye, perch and crappy?

Walleye minimum 18". 3 per day. Crappie 25 per day. Perch check state regs.

Thanks bigal409. Is there still 4" of black ice or did we lose it?

All the reports I'm getting its slow.
We call it the dead sea for a reason, Really it's just like any other place that big put the time in and you'll find fish.
Good luck.

You can keep all that snow up your way Big Guy. With this dusting we have here it's easier to drag our gear onto the ice.
