Im new here. Not to icefishing, just this group.  My vote is Sylvan.  Its more out of convience, as I live 15 or so mins away. But also I love the TROUT!!

Thanks Ice.  My son and I fished Superior today.  As we drove by White Lake....that looked like an access challenge.  Huntington has no obvious access on the Google map satellite photo.

The DEC access area at Lake Huntington is on Rt.42 - Huntington Rd.  There is a concrete boat launch ramp there.

How much ice did you find at Superior???

IceBalls thank you for your efforts to date to organize this years gathering, I maybe wrong but believe Lake Huntington is on rt.52 .  Rt.42 runs from Port Jervis through Monticello and ends in Grahamsville area.

it is a deep spring fed community pond  along a quiet village with  easy access but the public DEC parking lot/access ramp is limited to at best a dozen vehicles..(without snow) if the town rd is allowing rd side parking along the lk shore i don't know,, if snow is an issue , i doubt you'll find enough parking, i vote Glenmere hey maybe even a harriman park lk soon not recall but,, As long as there is safepublic parking  and easy access . I'll try to make it to this meet whatever hole is voted in. ;D

When does Glenmere throw their anual ice derby? last season by chance I happened upon that derby and it was pretty big! .. Glenmere is big but deepest I found in that shallow reservoir was about 12 ft. I did jig on some trips decent pannies..also lots of little pickerel.. but that is a decent size for a meeting with plenty of parking in the park on the lk..

IceBalls - sorry for the NOT SO timely reply.  On the Jan 1st  we found 6-7  inches of ice on Superior.   We checked out Swinging Bridge that afternoon but it didnt' look promising ... 2" near the shore.  Yesterday - January 5th - my 17 year old and I found 5" of black ice at a West Point Poplopen Lake.  Huge time saver with ice in Orange County.

The annual South Eastern New York IceShanty Get-Together is at Lake Huntington on January 19 (Sunday) from
8AM until ????    Asking those who are coming to check in here so we can get an approximate number.

Come on out and have some fun with your fellow IceFishermen..... bring food and drinks, chairs, tables, etc.

QUESTION:   How many would like to have a KIDS ONLY contest that day???  I'll donate a few trophies for biggest fish if you guys want to bring out the kids and grand-kids.   LET ME KNOW ASAP so I'll have time to get the trophies.
Kids up to 13 yrs. eligible.
