i doubt there will be a category for either, havent heard of any lake trout caught in a long time and walleyes are few and far between in east caroga but there are giants in there, there was a 10lber taken out of there this year, probably just be perch,  crappie pickerel browns and splake

Cross of brook and lake trout, used to be they averaged 14-15 inch. Might catch a bit bigger one now that its not stocked efficiently.

thanks. So is this tourny on both east and west caroga or just west? Sorry about all the questions but i normaly just fish the canal and with all the streams running into where i fish the level is up quite a bit and im not to into laying planks to get onto the ice. But i really would like to try this tourny out.

tourney is for both lakes and splake run bigger than 14-15" some of the nicer ones average 18-22" your more likely to catch a brown though because they are be stocked in there now

Any help here would be great. I'm 3 hours out and just heard of the tourney. How much ice after this weather and where do you sign in / register? We're melting out fast down here in Putnam.

Had a great time at the tourney today...was a little windy out but not too horrible!!  Even caught a few fish!!  Thanks to Vroomans for putting it on!  They had a great raffle afterwards too!

Cant wait for next year!  (They did say they are going to do it earlier next year, the Sunday after New Years Day)

Mike
