Went to goggle earth-pond is west of Penacook and east of Pillsbury lake. Appears to be one house on pond - Don't know how up to date pics are. I near Hirst Marsh which is off Lower Queen St.

Flag hole pond is actually what we refer to as Patenauds Pond, it is a private owned pond and they do not allow any fishing. Years ago the Patenauds would allow it to be fished but after being sold the new owners shut it down. There used to be some monster Bass in there (probably still is) Another spot that is in the area is Walker Pond, some nice bass also has yellow perch and pickerel.

Walker pond would be a good choice while you're in that area. Big bass, pickerel and perch. Easy access off water street to chadwick hill rd.

Havn't fished flaghole in over 50 years but did a lot of horn pouting there with an ocassional brookie. Same with Hurst marsh. Old timer neighbor some how managed to get brookies all the time. Bass showed up in the early 70's. Flag hole (Patenause Pond) is all posted now but Hurst marsh is public. Don't eat anything out of either due to contamination where the tannery used to dump all the hides in the landfill.
