Champlain March Madness

Back from the road trip. 14" of ice still. 50+ pike in a day and a half. A great time with a great group of friends. Weather was perfect. Ice was better than when we were there a month ago. If easter wasn't next Sunday I'd think about going back up.

OMG, those are some gorgeous fish.

Please tell me the 50+ pike were the total caught by your entire group . . . and not you alone.  (That would be too much).

Good work Jeff. Maybe a Champlain trip is on the horizon for me, I can plan something for next season. Pike are not a primary fish I target but it would be nice for a change.
Just add water.

Nice work Jeff!  Too bad they weren't biting like that a couple of weeks ago.

I'm on the mend for probably about another month.  I'll be tying flies and organizing open water gear in the meantime.

I was at the dam yesterday.  Few fish to be had...canal season raoidly approaching.  Plan is to get a RV and stick it down there for the season.

Still need to beat last years ice fishing end date of April 1.

You should be able to break that date Jon. I'd go north again if it weren't for company on Easter.

Ah thankfully that day is open for me.  I am hoping it will be a quiet day out there while everyone is busy eating ham and such.
