How to make ice
« on: Dec 30, 2012, 05:09 PM »
OK just brain storming here.  Two years ago we talked about using a snow thrower to move the snow and in turn freeze the slush underneath and make walking easier, it failed but I think could still work...maybe. So this years big idea is what if we took a trash pump and flooded the area of ice with water until the snow turned to slush from top to bottom.  It would make white ice but in such a volume that it would support a heavier load.  Any takers...

I think you may get some people pretty upset.....would probably work though.  Usually after a spot is fished a few times, it floods on its own and freezes down.

A bit tongue in cheek here with every third post asking if the ice at x spot is frozen.  Just having fun
