Just wondering what the guidelines are for atv use on the lake,heard that there may be changes Do you have to have your shanty stiff hitched to your wheeler while traveling? Any info would be appriciated

The only regulation requiring a "stiff, or rigid"  towbar is when you are towing passengers. 
Hope this helps, and I don't know of any law change.

No problem, and don't forget your helmet, some DEC guys will write you a ticket if you don't have it.  I use mine because usually it's so cold that I really need it to keep warm, but as far as it being necessary, that is debateable, and there are many opinions on the subject.
