Thanks for the replies ,i have made many different shanty's over the years and when the fishing gets slow we can laydown take a nap .lol



One of the first ones was a 4x8 frame made from PVC pipe with plywood ends for the door and window on the other end.  That shack lasted almost 10 years until the wind came up and ripped the anchors loose then it was all done. The frame was made with 2 inch schedule 40 PVC for the base and the covered wagon style top was 1/2 PVC conduit. The cover was a heavy duty poly tarp and was very easy to heat .


I will make another one just like that one of these days as it was very light and it would fit over the skidoo and i could haul both in the back off the truck.  It didn't have a floor so i would lay down some 4inch rigid insulation with a few holes for jigging inside.

Large cast iron pan ready for venison steaks and there just may be some brandy .We have a big family fishing party in feb with way too much food and beverages. I had a little run in with a bottle of Black Velvet last year and it took a few days to recover.
