Title: Interesting rod "ratings"....

Can't say I agree with all their choices, but kind of an interesting read. Noticed the Ugly-stik, Fenwick, and Berkley also list in the top ten on two other fishing publications/mag sites.....it's whatever works for ya, I guess.

How about #2 on the list?  LOL not a ton of credibility there.

these sites scan amazon ratings per classifications and populate their pages based on such - there's no true user making the list, just a websearch

I have some of these other rods ..but No 2 ..not seeing alot of ice reviews...any body got a recommendation/review ..not certain if I should go for the medium heavy or the heavy ...I mostly fish for crappie and perch ..but I can fish some local waters for trout .

Too bad the Fenwick Aetos rods were just a one season and a half.  It's really a good rod.  It's amazing this article just came out this year and is based on probably three or four year old rods and info...LOL.

Yea don't think I would trust a list like this. I was looking for a folding wagon to carry gear during soft water and came across a page that looked very similar to that one for 2020 and one of the top ten wagons they listed were discontinued and two others  if you looked elsewhere had 3 star or less ratings.

A 6' medium heavy Ice fishing rod? WOW. Ht Enterprises Wow. I believe some of those got on the list because they sell a lot of them not because they are good. Someone just starting out ice fishing would buy the Walmart Exclusive Ht Enterprise.
