I'm willing to try anything. I usually run 2 lb on my panfish rods. I typically run a fly over a tungsten jig. I've run into quite a few break offs at the top knot. Then there are the other big fish that tend to eat a jig occasionally. I'm not a finesse fisherman so maybe some of it is my gorilla hook set or lack of tactical play on the poke and reel.

Interesting setup, how high are you usually tying the fly?

Zojirushi thermal coffee mug. I got one for Christmas- Game changer! Coffee is still hot after 8 hours, and that is outside in the wind. I have tried many stainless thermal travel mugs, and this is the best insulated by far!

That is a really great price! I have a Stanley mug that stays hot I mean hot, for eight hours, but for that price if I didn’t have a good one I would jump on it!

Just returned from Bass Pro in Hooksett,, NH. they had a ton of tungsten 30% off. all spoons 30% off. remaining combos (there were about 30) 25% off. I forget what discount was on shelters. I think 25%.

With how crappy this ice fishing season is with the warmer weather weather in NE Ohio and other areas, will be lots of sales. Feel bad for the retailers that stock ice fishing stuff. I love good deals, but good deals do no good when there is no ice. My great deal on a Marcum LX6 Lithium, is not so great now, if I never get to use it. Sorry for the rant, but depressed no ice this year and if it does come will be a short season. Stinks!

I would rather pay full price and get a full ice fishing season every year! LOL.

That was enough of a deal to spur me to sell my current Fatfish 949i and Clam Kenai to upgrade to an Eskimo 6120i and Evo 1it. I also sold an underwater camera to offset the difference.
