...is about to be ripped out by the county,  ??? that from the Park Ranger. He called a few minutes ago and said they plan on building a new road and bridge across the creek and it's unknown exactly how, whether they will continue to allow traffic on the old one while this is going on or not, but the heavy equipment is already on-site...  guess what though, if they tear it down before the tourney, it will not be ready for travel by the tourney date. Timing is everything.  Happy fishing, I won't be there, I just found out I'll be in Casper. Laters,

Which bridge? Muddy or Five Mile?  Sounds like Five Mile by B&K!

...the one right there close to B&K. Another entrance?...aaaaah...Burma Road is a back way, but rather than drive all the way to Riverton, then all the way back on that road 2X distance, might be better to choose your spot on the west side of Boysen and launch from a point east like take Tough Creek and launch to the Sisters or Sand Mesa. Another idea might be for somebody to call the county engineer and ask their plans.       LT

Take the back way. It's not too bad.  Take the first dirt raod (?) after the first set of curves off Missouri Valley Road.  You'll come out by Bass lake.

I think it has to do with the quantity of irish cream.  Bring a bottle to the derby and we will perfect your skills

Are they building the bridge in the same place, or are they planning on diverting the road up or down stream?

If common sense plays into this at all, demolishing the bridge will not only derail the tourney to some extent, but will effectively cut off the ranchers who live back there from their only direct route to Shoshoni. My guess is they will construct the new road first...but then my opinion plus a buck will get you a cup o' hot joe at the Wrangler Cafe.  ;D

I've been out there all week. They have started building road across the creek about a 1/4 mile from the original road and it will come out up at the corner. It appears to me that the old road will be left in tact the entire time. They shouldn't really do anything to old road, that is until the new one is put into service.

Upstream, west of the existing bridge.
