Drop down or pivoting axles for ice shacks
« on: Mar 12, 2010, 04:06 PM »
Hi, I was wondering  does anyone know anything about "drop down or pivoting axles"? I'm looking to build a shanty and would like to consider this option. I have seen a few out on LW with this and have trying to do some research on it but not coming up with much. any info on how these go thru the snow or any feedback on them would be appreciated.thks

They go thru the snow like any other trailer.

Check this site out, about the clearest picture of a drop-down suspension axle I know of.

As far as I'm concerned this is the best place to find stuff for your new project.  http://www.fishhousesupply.com/

I have purchased some things from them for the assembly of my shack and there is a lot more on my list to get from them yet including drop a drop axle frame.

I hope that helps.
